let them eat... cupcakes!

for our wedding we are serving cupcakes in leiu of a traditional wedding cake. a good friends mother is baking all the cupcakes for the special day... here are a few idea of set up and style we feel in love with! i hope you'll "eat it up"...

for my bridesmaid's i wanted a chic necklace that had texture, a little bling and was different from your traditional 3-tier strands of pearls. i loved the j.crew style of fabrics and beads in their recent collections and thought i would try to create my own version...

the angle in the photo is a little off, but i think the concept is clear.

i used dupioni silk for the petals to create the flowers and thin velvet ribbon for the bows. my fiance and i did a little hunting to find vintage broaches or earrings and placed them in the center of the silk rosetts. fresh water pearls tie it all together... more to come
